This QSC Q-SYS QIO-IR1x4 Network IR I/O Expander is a native network IR connectivity solution designed to expand Q-SYS systems with infrared control for a broad range of professional and consumer devices.
The QIO-IR1x4 provides one IR receiver input and four IR emitter outputs, allowing Q-SYS systems to provide control connectivity for devices such as video displays, media players, and other IR-controlled equipment.
Each of the four output ports can be configured for IR output or transmit-only RS-232 operation. IR parameters include configurable carrier frequency and drive strength, while RS-232 operation provides a configurable baud rate. LED indicators show IR transmission activity.
The QIO-IR1x4 connects to the Q-SYS network through a Gigabit LAN connection for Q-LAN and supports Power over Ethernet. QIO Series devices can also be daisy-chained, with up to four QIO expanders on a single network run when local DC power is daisy-chained.
Its compact form factor can be surface- or wall-mounted using the included hardware or rack-mounted in a 1RU quarter-rack configuration using the optional QIO-RMK rack kit. The QIO-IR1x4 integrates with Q-SYS Designer Software and Q-SYS Reflect for configuration and management.
