This QSC Q-SYS QIO-AES8x8 8-Channel AES3 Digital Audio I/O Expander is a native Q-SYS networked digital audio I/O solution designed to expand Q-SYS systems with AES3 connectivity for interoperability with compatible digital audio equipment.
The QIO-AES8x8 provides four pairs of AES3 digital inputs and four pairs of AES3 digital outputs, delivering a total of 8 input and 8 output channels. It provides a convenient way to connect AES3-enabled digital sources and devices such as media servers, mixing consoles, digital audio workstations, and other digital recording or playback equipment.
By separating local I/O from Q-SYS processing hardware, the QIO-AES8x8 allows digital audio connections to be positioned where they are most convenient within an installation. The QIO Series provides modular and scalable network I/O for distributed or centralized Q-SYS processing architectures.
The QIO-AES8x8 connects to Q-SYS through Gigabit Q-LAN and supports IEEE 802.3af Type 1 Class 2 Power over Ethernet (PoE). Up to four QIO network I/O expanders can be daisy-chained on a single network run when local DC power is daisy-chained.
The QIO-AES8x8 is surface- and wall-mountable with the included hardware and can also be rack-mounted using the optional QIO-RMK rack kit. It provides drag-and-drop integration with Q-SYS Designer Software and comprehensive management through Q-SYS Reflect Enterprise Manager.
