This QSC Q-SYS QIO-AES8x8 8-Channel AES3 Digital Audio I/O Expander adds networked AES3 connectivity to Q-SYS systems. It provides eight AES3 input channels and eight AES3 output channels for connecting compatible digital audio equipment. PoE, Q-LAN, and flexible mounting support streamlined installation in distributed Q-SYS systems.
The QIO-AES8x8 provides four stereo pairs of AES3 digital inputs and four stereo pairs of AES3 digital outputs. It is designed to integrate digital audio sources such as media servers, mixing consoles, digital audio workstations, and other digital recording or playback devices with Q-SYS.
Each AES3 interface supports multiple sample rates, with sample rate conversion to the Q-SYS system rate of 48 kHz. The device can transport up to eight networked audio channels in each direction through Q-LAN.
The QIO-AES8x8 can be powered through PoE or an external 24 VDC power supply. Up to four QIO Series expanders can be daisy-chained on a single network run when local DC power is available.
