Marshall VS-PTC-200 Compact RS-232/RS-422 PTZ Camera Controller

The Marshall VS-PTC-200 is a compact serial controller for compatible PTZ cameras. A four-dimensional joystick, focus controls and stored positions support manual operation from a desk. RS-232 and RS-422 provide the camera-control connections; this model is intended for serial control installations.

• Joystick camera movement. The four-dimensional joystick provides pan, tilt, zoom and focus control. It gives an operator a hands-on way to follow a subject and refine framing from the control position.
• Two serial interface options. Full-duplex RS-232 and RS-422 support different serial wiring arrangements. Select the interface and wiring appropriate to the compatible camera and the installation's control cable route.
• VISCA and Pelco protocols. Support for VISCA and Pelco allows operation with cameras using those control protocols. Protocol configuration remains essential because a matching serial connector alone does not establish camera control.
• Stored positions for repeat shots. 128 preset locations provide recallable camera positions. These can support recurring views of a lectern, stage or other fixed scene positions without manually rebuilding each shot every time.
• Focus and image adjustment. Joystick and keypad focus control are complemented by brightness, backlight, flip/mirror and freeze commands. Available camera functions can be adjusted at the controller while the operator evaluates the video feed.
• Compact, low-power desk unit. The controller measures approximately 7.87 × 4.72 × 4.06 inches and uses 12 V DC at less than 2 W. Its size suits a desk position alongside other production controls.
