Why not buy this DVDO Xtend-USBC-USB-EUWW-1 1-Host USB-C & USB 3.2 Gen 1 100m Extender over HDBaseT today?
Will this extender carry USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) signals over long cable runs?
A: Yes — the unit extends USB 3.2 Gen 1 signals (up to 5Gbps) up to 100m/328ft over a single CAT6a cable.
Does the extender support USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices?
A: Yes — it is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices.
Can I power the system from either the transmitter or the receiver?
A: Yes — bi-directional 24V Power over Cable (PoC) lets you provide power at either the transmitter or the receiver so the other end does not need an external supply.
What USB ports and port power levels are available on the transmitter and receiver?
A: The wall-plate transmitter has one USB-C host port plus one USB-C and two USB-A device ports (device ports listed as 5V@1.5A), while the receiver provides two USB-C device ports (one 5V@1A and one 5V@1.5A) and two USB-A device ports (one 5V@1A and one 5V@1.5A).
Do I need a separate power supply for both ends if I use PoC?
A: No — with bi-directional 24V PoC you only need to supply DC 24V power to either the transmitter or the receiver; the other end does not require its own external supply.
Is the extender plug-and-play or does it require drivers?
A: It is plug-and-play and does not require drivers, downloads, or software installation for basic operation.
