NOTE: PC video cards and AV Surround sound receivers are notorious for not conforming to the HDMI spec of providing a stable 5 volt at 55 mill-amp output. We have seen many Onkyo, Integra and other AV receivers who can't drive long HDMI cables and source powered devices like this due to their poor HDMI switching design. We have seen some laptops and AV receivers that only measure 30ma on Pin 18 of the 19 pin HDMI cable out and if you source device is similar this device may not be powered properly and you will need an HDMI to CAT5 converter with 2 - AC adapters.
The CAT6 to HDMI Adapter is the perfect solution for enjoying high definition content, such as Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, and more without obtrusive devices or cables laying around.

Q: I need to send my PC 100 feet and don't know what to buy, can you help me?
A: Sure, see our HDMI over CAT5e/6 comparison spreadsheet for a complete set of specs of the more popular ones people buy.
Q: Why do your passive HDMI extenders not work at the specified distance as mentioned in your manuals and spec sheets?
A: We constantly work with many manufacturers on a daily basis to design, recommend, and build solutions that work for everyday HDMI products. However, we do talk to customers who occasionally experience problems when using our passive HDMI extenders such as these or ones that have only one AC adapter, not 2. After doing extensive research and testing in our own lab, we have found that certain A/V receivers, Blu-ray, DVD, and HDMI Blu-Ray players that do not provide enough power (5V) through pin18 of HDMI and therefore causes loss of signal or poor picture quality. This is mainly due to a weak built-in HDMI booster and insufficient power supply.
We have found that these types of sources are limited on the output side and therefore may not work even with a HDMI cable over 10ft. Since our passive extenders rely completely off the power from the HDMI sources, please keep this in mind as equipment can differ due to varying power supplies and different manufacturing standards. For these type of scenarios we recommend either an active powered extender, or an in-line HDSync which correctly injects the proper 5V signal on the source side.
