This Smart-AVI RK8-HLX-500-S 8-Port HDMI/IR Extender over LAN (1 RU) is an 8-port HDMI and IR extender with a rack mounting design; it can consolidate up to 8 1080p Full HD (1920×1080 @ 60Hz) video and audio signals from HDMI sources, and send them to end-point displays up to 500 feet away via LAN with cost-effective CAT5/5e/6 cabling.
The RK8-HLX-500 is plug-and-play with a rack mountable design, meaning it can be easily installed into any existing AV equipment rack-mount setup and is ready to use immediately upon connection to a power source.
Simply connect up to 8 HDMI sources to the RK8-HLX-500, connect up to 8 HLX-500-RX receivers (sold separately) via inexpensive CAT5/5e/6 cables to send your HD content to end-point displays up to 500 feet away!
Controlling the RK8-HLX-500 completely effortless: after connecting HDMI sources and receivers (sold separately) to the unit and powering it up, the RK8-HLX-500 basically runs on its own, extending signals automatically to displays.
Users can also remotely control the signal sources through the RK8-HLX-500 and receiver units via IR accessories (sold separately).
