This Osprey UHD-QC Talon Quad Encoder is a versatile encoder that handles bit rate encoding up to 100 Mb/s in VBR and CBR. Video compression occurs in H.265 (HEVC and H.264 AVC) with up to 10-bit 4:2:2 color space and resolutions up to UHD 4K60.

The 12G-SDI input carries up to eight embedded audio channels, and supported audio compression includes AAC-LC and OPUS audio for UDP, RTP, SRT, WHIP, and Zixi. The unit's software integration enables SMPTE 2038 and embedded CEA-708 closed caption support, as well as password protection and network time protocol. Video processing tools include upscaling, downscaling, and color space conversion. The encoder comes with a set of mounting brackets and a power supply.
