Marshall VDA-104-3GS-2 1×4 Reclocking 3G-SDI Distribution Amplifier

The Marshall VDA-104-3GS-2 distributes one SDI source to four destinations. Reclocking and cable equalization support signal distribution, while automatic format detection and status indicators simplify setup. Marshall VDA-104-3GS-2 Features

• One input, four destinations. Four SDI outputs distribute the same incoming feed. This allows a camera, router or program source to reach several receiving devices without placing those devices in one long loop-through chain.
• SD, HD and 3G support. The unit supports 270 Mb/s, 1.485 Gb/s and 2.97 Gb/s signals, including supported formats up to 1080p60 and 2K. It can serve several established SDI production standards.
• 3G Level A and B compatibility. Both Level A and Level B are supported for compatible 3G-SDI signals. This is relevant when a production system contains sources using different 3G mapping conventions.
• Reclocking and equalization. Signal reclocking and automatic cable equalization support the incoming SDI path before distribution. These functions address signal transport rather than converting the video to a different resolution or frame rate.
• Ancillary data retained. Ancillary data passes through with the SDI signal. The distribution path can therefore carry the associated data needed by compatible downstream equipment along with the video feed.
• Automatic detection and visible status. Video-format LEDs show detected signal status, helping an installer confirm the input at the box. The compact metal enclosure supports placement near a source or a distribution point.
