This 2X1 HDMI comes with optical & digital audio outputs. It is designed to work as a switcher for multiple sources and one display and send the separate digital audio to a surround sound receiver. This HDMI 1.3b matrix switcher works with all HDMI 1.3 versions and below.

The HDMI switch includes a remote control.

The 2X1 HDMI switcher switches the incoming HDMI signal into the standard HDMI audio / video signal as well as converts its associated SPDIF and Optical audio to outputs. You then can route this digital audio to your surround sound receiver.

NOTE: The HDMI switcher "does not have" RCA and Optical audio inputs. The audio inputs are via HDMI and this 2X1 HDMI Switcher decodes the HDMI data stream and outputs the digital audio via SPDIF (RCA) and Optical audio along with the internal HDMI audio sent on to the HDTV.

This 2X1 HDMI Switcher with digital audio supports a maximum bandwidth of 1.65Gbps and provide a sharp and highly defined video in multiple resolutions up to 1080p. It completely eliminates the need to constantly move around video input and output cables.
