This Thor Broadcast H-ASI-DS3-B ASI over DS3 Gateway for Transport over TDM connections is highly reliable contribution feed links. Allows a full rate duplex TDM carrier signal with dedicated bandwidth at synchronous clock speeds, for ultra reliable contribution feed transport of encoded DVB-ASI programs in full duplex mode. The Thor Gateway system transmits up to 44 Mbps of ASI content in both directions over a Third Layer T-Carrier type TDM coaxial connection. High speed Layer 3 TDM connections have guaranteed bandwidth through a synchronous full duplex link and are therefore much more reliable than Internet based cloud solutions. At least two Thor Gateway units are needed to make a connection. For most installations, no configuration is needed.
System can be configured to either strip or insert null packets to provide either VBR or CBR MPEG-TS over DVB-ASI Output. Provides direct optical fiber type reliability when optical fiber access is not available. When configured properly at the encoders, this system can reliably transport 4 HD or 10 SD programs over MPTS ASI bi-directionally via BNC terminals. Each Gateway has a Tx and Rx BNC terminal for outgoing and incoming DVB-ASI programs.
