    How the auto-sensing works:

    1. When supplied with power, this switcher will select the powered-on source device depending on the sequence automatically looking to input 1, to input 2, to input 3, etc. and then auto-selects the unit that is turned ON
    2. Once the source device is turned on or plugged in (it should stay in a power-on mode), the switcher will automatically select this source.
    3. Once the source device is turned off or un-plugged, the switcher will automatically select the next powered-on source depending on the sequence automatically from input 1, to input 2, to input 3, etc.)
    4. When the source devices are in the stand-by mode, the power should be turned off, otherwise this switcher cannot detect the correct unit as only one source unit can be on at a time.
    5. A few devices like some DVR′s, cable and satellite receivers are "always ON" so auto-sensing switchers, like this one, need the "always On" devices, to be at a lower video input so it doesn′t block other switching devices. If you have 2 devices that are always ON you′ll need to use the buttons to switch it.
The Auto-sensing HDMI Switchers have latest technology in signal source for the output. If you want to switch the output from a DVD to a PS3, you just simply turn on the PS3. The functionality of multiple remotes is rolled into the convenience of a single remote.

NOTE: A few devices like some DVR′s, cable and satellite receivers are "always ON" so auto-sensing switchers, like these, need the "always On" devices, to be at a lower video input so it doesn′t block other switcher devices. If you have 2 devices that are always ON you′ll need to use the buttons and / or remote control ( if they have them ) to switch inputs. An Apple TV keeps its HDMI port active even in the sleep state so auto-switching may not work with the Apple TV. Manual switching can still be used.

Why not buy an HDMI Auto-sense HDMI Switch today?

    Q: How does auto-sensing work?

    A:
The operation of the auto-sensing will be impacted by the source devices operation in standby mode. If power is still applied to the HDMI output when the source is in standby mode, the 4X1 Auto-sensing HDMI Switch will treat this source as if it is????. A few devices like some DVR's, cable and satellite receivers are "always ON" so auto-sensing switchers, like these, need the "always On" devices, to be at a lower video input so it doesn't block other switcher devices.

If you have 2 devices that are always ON you'll need to use the buttons and / or remote control ( if they have them ) to switch inputs. An Apple TV keeps its HDMI port active even in the sleep state so auto-switching may not work with the Apple TV. Manual switching can still be used.
