Build your own WolfPack 12G SDI Modular Matrix Switcher using up to 11-Chassis sizes

These SDI 12G Matrix Switchers are integrated SDI video and matrix routers.

These various chassis allow various technologies to be converted and switched eliminating external converters and it allows any input to be routed to any output, or the same input to be routed to all outputs, or any combination using SDI and other technologies, like HDMI.

These WolfPack Seamless 12G SDI Matrix Switchers provide advanced features like sophisticated image switching capabilities to ensure a seamless switching experience.

The term "seamless" refers to the switcher's ability to switch between video sources without any visible interruption or delay in the output signal.

This is particularly important in live events and broadcasting where a smooth and continuous video signal is essential.

All our 12G SDI seamless switching modular switchers switch in about 80ms and we used the frame freeze technology to avoid the black & blue screen between the signals switching Latency is only 20ms.

The core of the Modular SDI HDMI Matrix Switcher Chassis consists of multiple Modular Matrix chassis and its highly configurable backplane that supports 4-port SDI slide-in input cards and 4-port SDI slide-in output cards.

You can control the matrix switch via its IOS or Android Apps, front panel control, a WEB GUI control, or the RS-232 & TCPIP serial ports.

Why not design a 12G SDI Modular Matrix Switcher today?

These Modular 12G SDI (Serial Digital Interface) Seamless Matrix Switchers support up to 160-SDI Inputs and up to 160-SDI outputs and are SDI systems used in professional video production and broadcasting environments. They are designed to route and switch 12G-SDI 4K at 60 Hz video signals in real-time, allowing multiple video sources to be connected to multiple destinations.

These 12G Seamless SDI Matrix Switchers provide advanced features like sophisticated image switching capabilities to ensure a seamless switching experience. The term "seamless" refers to the switcher's ability to switch between video sources without any visible interruption or delay in the output signal. This is particularly important in live events and broadcasting where a smooth and continuous video signal is essential.

Not only is this product an SDI matrix switch it is designed to support multiple video wall configurations using a tablet to create the video walls. The number of video walls, and quantity, is only limited by the number of SDI outputs that you have. Also, the SDI output cards include an internal DIP switch for resolution adjustment for times when the auto-adoption cannot detect an unusual display or output device video resolution.

Multiple Ways to Control the Inputs & Outputs of this 12G SDI Matrix Switcher:

What is the Build Your Own 12G SDI Matrix To A 160X160 designed to do?

A: The Build Your Own 12G SDI Matrix To A 160X160 is a 12G-SDI modular matrix designed to route 12G-SDI sources to multiple destinations in a configurable matrix architecture. It is intended for professional AV, broadcast, commercial, presentation, or distributed-video installations depending on the selected configuration.

The final configuration should be matched to the project requirements because available cards, chassis capacity, and interfaces differ across the product family.

How does matrix routing work on this system?

A: A matrix allows any compatible input to be routed to any compatible output, while also allowing one source to be sent to multiple outputs. This provides flexible source distribution without physically moving cables between devices.

Routing can be managed through the supported control interfaces, making it practical to change sources without physically reconnecting cables.

Can the system be configured for different input and output counts?

A: Yes. The modular architecture uses selectable chassis and I/O cards, allowing different source and destination counts to be specified. The available range depends on the product family, with this system supporting up to 160x160.

The exact card compatibility and chassis capacity should be confirmed before building a system, especially when mixing signal types.

Does it support video wall processing?

A: The platform supports video wall processing on applicable configurations, allowing multiple displays to form a larger visual canvas. This can let a routed source span several screens.

Video wall layouts and scaling depend on the selected chassis, cards, displays, and resolution requirements.

What video resolution is supported?

A: The supported format depends on the product family. This product is designed around 12G-SDI and its stated resolution class, with some configurations extending to professional 4K or SDI formats.

The connected source, output card, display, cable or network extender must all support the selected resolution and frame rate.

What control options are available?

A: Depending on the model, control can include front-panel buttons or display, Web GUI, RS-232, TCP/IP, iOS or Android applications, and optional third-party control drivers.

These control methods allow operators to change routing and recall configurations without accessing every source and display.

Does the system support scaling?

A: Selected modular output cards provide resolution scaling so an output can be adapted to the connected display. Scaling is useful when sources and displays operate at different resolutions.

The exact scaling behavior is model and card dependent and should be selected according to the required display resolution and aspect ratio.

What audio capabilities are available?

A: Audio support varies by model, but applicable systems can provide embedded audio, separate audio routing, audio de-embedding, or dedicated audio matrix functionality.

The exact audio connectors and channel configuration depend on the selected model and cards.

Is the system suitable for professional installations?

A: Yes. These platforms are intended for broadcast, live production, commercial AV, presentation, sports bar, conference-room, signage, and other multi-display environments.

The modular architecture provides centralized routing and can accommodate larger I/O requirements than fixed consumer switchers.

What should be considered when building or specifying the matrix?

A: The main considerations are the required inputs and outputs, video format, resolution, transmission method, audio requirements, control method, scaling, and video wall needs. Key capabilities include high-bandwidth SDI routing, video wall support and scaling.

Correct card selection, cabling, displays, network components where applicable, and control accessories are important for a reliable installation.
