This AVPro Edge AC-MXNET-SW24 MXnet 1G 24 Port Network Switch is one member of the trio of MXnet 1G network switches designed, engineered, and manufactured exclusively by AVPro Edge, one of the first manufacturers of AV-over-IP devices to produce network switches alongside their companion ecosystem products internally.

Jointly developed in tandem with MXnet 1G Encoders, Decoders, and the CBOX control processor, like all MXnet network switches, the AC-MXNET-SW24 is out-of-the-box pre-configured and optimized for all gigabit AV-over-IP application scenarios to ensure rapid and reliable plug-and-play capability while providing excellent network performance.

Supporting IGMP Snooping and QoS, the AC-MXNET-SW24 includes an AVPro Edge newly-developed network switch operating system (NOS) that correctly regulates multicast processor loads using the AVPro Edge suite of proprietary Intelligent A/V Processing (IAVP) technologies for precise, highly efficient multicast routing and fluid stream transmission. 

Four 10 Gbps SFP+ ports support auto-uplink and link aggregation to any AC-MXNET- SW24 or AC-MXNET- SW48 switch.

AVPro Edge AC-MXNET-SW24 MXnet 1G 24 Port Network Switch Features:

• Fast Switching - Virtually undetectable, two seconds or less source-to-source switching to endpoints with no content-free black frames.
• Low Latency – A/V onset timing of 70 ms or less is below the threshold of human perception. MXnet SW series switches integrated into the MXnet Ecosystem average system latency at around 35 ms. However, varying signal types contribute to latency times. Internal tests conducted by AVPro reveal the following latency measurements:
• MXnet Point to Point (HDMI or Decoder Analog Out):- Less than or equal to 33 ms (1fps)
• MXnet Encoder (Non-Downmixing/2CH PCM Only):- Less than or equal to 1 ms
• MXnet Encoder (AVDM):- Less than or equal to 60 ms - 60 ms is achieved when downmixing High Bitrate Audio, such as Dolby TrueHD or DTS Master Audio, though latency times are typically less. It should be noted that latency averaging 70 ms or less is considered imperceptible, however, this is dependent on each individual’s audible and visual acuity.   
• IAVP (Intelligent A/V Processing) – Each network switch module subset affecting multicast processing have been carefully re-engineered. IGMP, Jumbo Frames, Spanning Tree, and multicast filtering are fully optimized for efficient network transmission.  
• MXnet Network Operating System (NOS) – Multicast CPU utilization has been completely reworked for high efficiency.  Processor loads never exceed 40% even when the AC-MXNET-SW24 is fully populated. System boot times average
