The 4X4 HDMI Matrix Switch can also remote control the from the sink side via a extended receiver. You can configure the system much easier than using simple point to point IR connections. The size of the 4X4 HDMI Matrix Switch is very compact and rack mount ears are included. NOTE: 24AWG or thicker (lower AWG number) HDMI cables are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for best performance. Some devices will require thicker gauge, category 2 cables to work with this switch. For runs up to 15ft, use 24AWG. For runs of 20ft or more, use 22AWG HDMI cables (which is thicker than 24AWG.) DIP SWITCHES: The matrix will mix the EDID data of the sink devices, like HDTVs. The mixed EDID data will use the lowest resolution of the video and the least number of audio channels. For example, some sink devices, like HDTV's, support 1080P, some sink devices only support 1080i, some support 5.1 audio, but some only support stereo. In this example the mixed EDID will be 1080i and stereo, or the lowest. Also if you want to just use one sink devices EDID data, this DIP setting can be used. The warranty states that (a) its products will perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying written materials for a period of 1 year from the date of receipt and (b) that the 4X4 HDMI Matrix Switch will be free from defects in materials & workmanship under normal use & service for a period of 1 year. In order to get a warranty replacement for a defective item, HDTV Supplys Support Team will verify the product is eligible for warranty. An RMA number will then be issued. Shipped replacements will be in like new conditions, tested and all components included.
