This Kramer 6241HD 4 x 1 HD-SDI Switcher/Distribution Amplifier accepts input from 4 different HD-SDI serial digital video sources and switches 1 input across the HD-SDI output port. By reclocking and equalizing the input signal to be switched, the switcher rebuilds the digital signal for transmission over long distances. It features a maximum data rate up to 1.485Gbps and supports 8 & 10-bit resolutions.
Apart from support for HD-SDI video signals (SMPTE 292M), the switcher also extends support for SDI signals via SMPTE 259M / 344M connection. The switcher is compatible for use with HDTVs and is compact enough to allow 3 units to be mounted side-by-side in a 1U rack space with the optional RK-3T rack adaptor.
