HDTV Supply’s WolfPack 4K 5X1 HDMI Switcher with Auto-sensing switches 5 HDMI inputs to one HDMI output. Auto sensing inputs allow auto-switching between only active HDMI sources. This intelligent HDMI 5X1 Amplifier Switcher allows up to five HDMI source devices to be switched into one HD monitor or projector. How the 5X1 HDMI Switcher with Auto-sensing works:
- Once a source device is turned on (or plugged while turned on) the switcher automatically selects that source.
- Once that source device is turned off or un-plugged, the switcher automatically selects the next powered-on source in the sequence (input1 > input2 > input3 > input4 > input 5 > input 1 etc.>)
- To select manually, simply use the “touch-button” to advance to the next input in the sequence (input1 > input2 > input3 > input4 > input5). The switcher will automatically skip source inputs that are not connected, or sources that are not powered

Multi-channel digital audio and high definition video are fed to the display by each source (shown below), when selected. Users have the option of switching sources using front panel buttons or the IR remote that comes with the unit. This HDMI switcher is compatible with HDTV′s with a 120 Hz frame rate and above and Blu-ray, HD-DVD DVD players etc. with a 24 Hz frame rate.
NOTE: The operation of the Intelligent Function will be impacted by the source devices operation in standby mode. If power is still applied to the HDMI output when the source is in standby mode, the switcher will treat this source as if it is “on”. A few devices like some DVR′s, cable and satellite receivers are "always ON" so auto-sensing switchers, like these, need the "always On" devices, to be at a lower video input so it doesn′t block other switcher devices. If you have 2 devices that are always ON you′ll need to use the buttons and / or remote control ( if they have them ) to switch inputs. An Apple TV keeps its HDMI port active even in the sleep state so auto-switching may not work with the Apple TV. Manual switching can still be used.
