The wire used in these 1440p tested HDMI cables are a large copper based wires to transmit the fast 1080p signal. The 3 foot to 15 foot HDMI cables are made with a tough net jacket. The HDMI specification handles high-bandwidth, uncompressed video and multi-channel digital audio as well, all in one cable. These cables are HDCP compliant. They work with both HDMI and DVI (via the above separate adapter and or cable) and supports 480i to 1080p video or computer resolutions from VGA to UXGA.

Tip: It's always a good practice when using long HDMI cables that are installed in walls to test your HDMI cables and system chain out first by laying the HDMI cables on the ground and plugging them into you source devices and HDTV before installing them. It's far easier to diagnose problems this way then when the HDMI cables are in the wall.

Some of the longer HDMI cables have an option for tin or silver plating covering each of the 19 wires (100% copper) in the HDMI cable. Tin plating has less resistance and helps to channel the signal to the core of the copper where it would have less chance of signal loss. Silver plating has even less resistance and should be your choice for an optimum picture quality and insurance against future resolution higher than 1080p.

HDMI 1.3a HDMI Cables rating gives you:

  • Higher speed: HDMI 1.3 increases its single-link bandwidth to 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps) to support the demands of future 1440p HD display devices, such as higher resolutions, Deep Color and high frame rates. In addition, built into the HDMI 1.3 specification is the technical foundation that will let future versions of HDMI reach significantly higher speeds.
  • Deep Color: HDMI 1.3 supports 10-bit, 12-bit and 16-bit (RGB or YCbCr) color depths, up from the 8-bit depths in previous versions of the HDMI specification, for stunning rendering of over one billion colors in unprecedented detail.
  • Broader color space: HDMI 1.3 adds support for x.v.Color (which is the consumer name describing the IEC 61966-2-4 xvYCC color standard), which removes current color space limitations and enables the display of any color viewable by the human eye.
  • New mini connector: With small portable devices such as HD camcorders and still cameras demanding seamless connectivity to HDTVs, HDMI 1.3 offers a new, smaller form factor connector option.
  • Lip Sync: Because consumer electronics devices are using increasingly complex digital signal processing to enhance the clarity and detail of the content, synchronization of video and audio in user devices has become a greater challenge and could potentially require complex end-user adjustments. HDMI 1.3a incorporates automatic audio synching capabilities that allows devices to perform this synchronization automatically with total accuracy.
  • New HD lossless audio formats: In addition to HDMI current ability to support high-bandwidth uncompressed digital audio and all currently-available compressed formats (such as Dolby Digital and DTS), HDMI 1.3 adds additional support for new lossless compressed digital audio formats Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.
Silver-Plated Conductors: Silver-plating video conductors offer superior conductivity to copper, for the best high-frequency response possible. Since video frequencies are mostly higher frequencies, the signal travels primarily at the surface where the silver-plating is a significant advantage due to higher conductivity. Silver-plating produces a stronger signal, with less loss, better clarity, and richer colors.

The HDMI cables have lengths including 1.5 foot to 200 feet and the shorter lengths use a large 24 gauge pure copper wire while the longer lengths can have an immense 22 gauge wire with optional silver plating. The HDMI cables with a booster only need a smaller diameter cable due to the built in amplifier. All 19 center conductor wires are pure copper to support 1080p at longer lengths.

Most (See pricing) of these HDMI cables have a CL2 rating which comes from Underwriters Laboratories (UL). It means that these cables have a slow burning outer jacket and should meet most fire codes and are safe for in-wall installations. The CL2 rating does not affect the appearance or performance of the cables. The HDMI Cables can be used in or out of wall.

Our best HDMI cables have 22 AWG wire and is tin or silver plated. It gives you a better chance of seeing a pristine high definition picture with longer cable lengths without using a 1080p HDMI booster

The 1.5 foot to 35 foot HDMI cables support resolutions up to 1440p. The un-powered 50 foot through 100 foot HDMI cables support resolutions up to 1080p. With an HDMI Booster the cables are good for resolutions up to 1440p if your HDMI source can drive a long cable.

Models: HDMI 1.3 & 1.3a thru HDMI 1.4 Compliant:
  • HDMI 1.3a Category 1 and 2 and HDMI 1.3 increases its single-link bandwidth from 165 MHz (4.95 Gbps) to 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps) to support the demands of today high definition display devices.
  • These HDMI cables support ALL HDTV formats (1080p, 1080i, 720p & 480p)& resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 with vivid 24-bit color depth for crystal clear picture & vibrant natural colors.
  • HDMI 1.3a and 1.3 HDMI works for HDTV, Digital Satellite, CATV, DVD, HD-DVD, Blu-ray Players, AV Receivers, Plasma TV, LCD TV equipped with HDMI Connection, Sony Playstation 3, and is completely backwards compatible with all HDMI devices.
One of the advantages of our HDMI cables is that it can carry HDTV video signals and 8-channel digital audio in one cable, and still has bandwidth to spare. This means that you can have just one cable running, for example, from your DVD player, HDTV cable or satellite box to a home theater receiver or HDTV.

The audio portion of these HDMI cables has been tested and is compliant with the following audio standards:

  • Dolby Digital
  • Dolby Digital Plus
  • Dolby TrueHD (2 CH)
  • DTS
  • DTS-HD
The equipment you connect to this cable, though, must be capable of decoding these audio protocols.

NOTE: These HDMI cables are compatible with HDTV's with a 120 Hz frame rate and above and Blu-ray, HD-DVD DVD players etc. with a 24 Hz frame rate.

These 1080p HDMI cables are HDCP Compliant. HDCP (high bandwidth digital content protection) is a standard encoded into the video signal to prevent it from being pirated. If a source device is HDCP coded and is connected to a DVI display or projector without the proper HDCP decoding mechanism, the picture is relegated to "snow" or in some cases, very low (480p) resolutions of the images.

In order to see HDTV with HDCP compliance, both the source, the display and any device in between must be equipped with HDMI connections that can enable HDCP decoding, such as these HDMI cables.

TIP: These HDMI 1.3 cables will work with HDMI 1.4 devices that don't require an Ethernet connection. You should feel comfortable that all of our HDMI cables provided since the release of HDMI v1.3 will support each of the new features offered by v1.4 with the exception of the ethernet channel. There will be a very minor change in the current cables to allow for an HDMI ethernet channel (HEC) but if you are looking to take advantage of the other functions offered by v1.4 you can rest assured that the cables you bought from us already supports all them.

All of our HDMI Cables have gold plated connectors which resist corrosion 100 times better then non-plated connectors. Many home theater applications require the cables be installed inside walls, fireplaces or other moisture rich areas and using our gold plated connectors assures you that you will not have any future corrosion issues that may result in a bad high definition picture.

External and internal ferrite coils suppress external spurious signal frequencies up to 500 MHz so they don't get in your high definition signal. Ferrite coil filters provide common-mode filtering is provided on some of the longer HDMI cables.

Your video is only as good as the HDMI cables that connect your devices. Why not buy a few 1440p rated HDMI cables today?

Our HDMI cables have 19 copper wires in them and those wires are wave soldered to 19 very small connectors at each end. These cables have been tested at the factory and right before they go directly into your shipping container so you can be assured they will work for you.

Here are some tips to install the cable(s) to have a successful installation:

1. DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT PULL THE CABLE BY ITS CONNECTORS TO INSTALL IT AS YOU MAY PULL THE CONNECTOR(S) OFF. Cables that are pulled this way are not returnable and your warranty is voided.

2. Lay the cable on the floor first and install a test set up of your equipment. This may mean moving equipment closer than the actual installation but problems will be easier to diagnose if the cable is not installed in the wall.

3. Wrap the HDMI connectors with a freezer bag tied tight when installing the cable in the wall. REMEMBER DO NOT PULL THE CABLE BY ITS CONNECTORS TO INSTALL IT AS YOU MAY DAMAGE THE CONNECTOR(S) and void your warranty.

4. If you bought a cable with a built in booster, either check the writing on the cable connector for where to install it, or put the BOOSTER END at the TV, not the source, like a DVD player. These HDMI cables that have boosters work only when the booster is placed at the end, or near the HDTV, not at the source device. The HDMI booster is placed near the display to remove any noise that has been generated by a long HDMI cable.

5. If you don't get a picture, or sound, and have other devices in series with the cable put them aside and connect the HDMI cable directly between the source device and the HDTV. If you still don't get a picture try another source device like a cable/sat receiver.

6. If an outside installer is doing work for you please print this out, give to him and remind him not to pull the HDMI cables by their ends to install it.

7. If you use staples to install the long cable YOU WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY and it cannot be returned. Staples will harm the 19 copper wires inside the cable, along with the shield that surrounds them.

8. Cables that are installed in the wall are not returnable so check the cable of the floor first.
