The HDTV Recorder employs HDMI™ technology to receive video from various input sources (HDMI, Component and CVBS) in either digital or analog format. The HDTV Recorder then stores the video directly onto a portable USB hard disk or high speed pen drive. It uses H.264 TS format, which guarantees very efficient compression and timely delivery. Both digital and analog input/output audio are supported through HDMI or RCA interfaces. Recorded video can be played back on any media player, Blu-Ray Disc player or PC/NB that supports H.264 TS file format.

Timer Programming: This function allows you setup a recording schedule to automatically record video to the USB device at preset times. You can easily edit, add and remove multiple recording sessions.

  • The software media players used with this High Definition Digital Video Recorder should support the AVCHD M2TS file format. Commercial software video players are recommended, such as CyberLink PowerDVD or Corel WinDVD.

If the HDMI video is not-HDCP it will record. Check your HDMI device users manual for whether it is HDCP copy protected or not.

Video software player suggestions:

The file recorded by AnyHD recorder can be played in a PC through the following software players: (Minimum Hardware requirements: Intel Core-2 Duo CPU with 2GB DRAM).

Only PowerDVD & WinDVD are able to play smoothly. Other software players might happen to break A/V sync off when it is playing recorded contact.

Q: What is the maximum file size I can record?

The maximum file size is limited to about 3.5 GB, video recordings that extend past that file limit will be broken up into consecutive 3.5 GB files

Q: It has an HDMI input, will it record an HDMI signal?
A:
This device will allow only non-HDCP encrypted HDMI source to be recorded.

Q: Is the USB HDD or a USB Pen Drive supplied with the High Definition Digital Video Recorder?
A:
No, you must buy them to record your video and audio.

Q: Does the High Definition Digital Video Recorder have an internal tuner?
A:
No, the HDTV Recorder only records video that it receives through its video cables it does not have an internal TV tuner and cannot receive TV signals directly i.e. a TV Box or Set-top box is required to deliver the TV programs. If you need an HD tuner see the above ACCESSORIES Tab.

Q: Does the recorder output an s-video or composite video signal?
