This 8X9 HDMI Matrix Switcher w/User Adjustable EDID Learning allows any of 8 inputs to be routed to any of 8+1 outputs; or the same input to be routed to all outputs, or any combination. The size of the matrix is only 1U high & rack mount ears are included. The 8-inputs and 9-outputs are female HDMI connectors as the above picture shows. The 8X9 HDMI matrix switch has 8 - female HDMI inputs and 8 - female HDMI outputs and an HDMI preview port which mirrors Output #1. It can be used in many applications that have 9 widescreens but is intended as a local troubleshooting tool for the you or your installer. It may also be used to send HDMI audio to an AV receiver providing you do not turn ON a display devise that might be connected to the Output of your audio receiver. The 8X9 HDMI Matrix Switch with User Adjustable EDID has 8 standard HDMI inputs and 8 standard HDMI outputs and one HDMI PREVIEW port. An Intelligent EDID learning function is added to increase its compatibility to any HDTV, unlike cheaper units that you have to guess their compatibility. Intelligent EDID learning is only found in professional HDMI switchers and never less than $5,000, as this costs. Control of this switcher can be managed via its front-panel control, IR remote control, RS-232, or our optional RS-232 to Ethernet Converter. The RS-232 to Ethernet Converter allows control of the unit from anywhere in the world given you know how to write RS-232 code and have the correct serial Ethernet hardware. The 8x9 HDMI Matrix Switchers RS-232 control allows the switcher to also be controlled by 3rd party control systems like Crestron, AMX and Control4, or any computerized software/hardware control systems. NOTE: 24AWG or thicker (lower AWG number) HDMI cables are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for best performance. Some devices will require thicker gauge, category 2 cables to work with this switch. For runs up to 15ft, use 24AWG. For runs of 20ft or more, use 22AWG HDMI cables (which is thicker than 24AWG.) The U.S. warranty states that (a) its products will perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying written materials for a period of 1 year from the date of receipt and (b) that the 8x9 HDMI Matrix Switcher will be free from defects in materials & workmanship under normal use & service for a period of 1 year. In order to get a warranty replacement for a defective item, HDTV Supplys Support Team will verify the 8x9 HDMI Matrix Switcher is eligible for warranty. An RMA number will then be issued. Shipped replacements will be in like new conditions, tested and all components included.
