VGA to HDMI cable

and getting ripped off as they cannot work.

This VGA to HDMI cable does not work and there is no cable that will convert VGA to HDMI. HDMI is a digital signal interface while VGA signals that you can find on devices are analog signals. A simple cable will not work, and you need an electronic converter device.

NOTE: This product has been discontinued. See the above SIMILAR Tab for equivalent products or, if not there, call us at 800-841-9238 right now to discuss your needs.

If you need to convert a VGA signal to HDMI see our VGA to HDMI Scalers.

HDMI is purely digital (1's and 0's) signal while VGA is completely analog (waveforms) so an VGA to HDMI cable cannot convert digital signal to waveforms as a cable is a passive device made up of wire, solder and 2 connectors. The HDMI digital signal sent through 19 digital lines in the HDMI cable and delivered via the HDMI connector cannot be used by any analog VGA display that uses an analog signal input lines.

This VGA to HDMI Cable doesn't work because:

  1. HDMI is digital and the VGA output is analog so a VGA to HDMI Cable won't work.
  2. HDMI has 19 pins and the VGA has only 15 so an VGA to HDMI Cable won't work.
  3. HDMI has the HDCP copy protection signal whereas there is no VGA equivalent so an VGA to HDMI Cable won't work.
  4. A cable is a passive device made up of 2 connectors, solder and wires. It cannot convert one signal type into another so a VGA to HDMI Cable won't work.

This VGA to HDMI Cable does not work and there is no such thing so don't get ripped off and buy one!
