This Component Video to cat5-E Wall plate Extender Set extends a component signal via CAT6. They come with two (2) units, a send unit and a receive unit. All you have to supply is the CAT-5 cable. Analog audio is not supported, only component video.

They are decorative wall plates in front with the balun behind along with the female connector for the CAT-5E cable. These twisted pair extenders allow long distance distribution of component video using inexpensive cat5-E cables.

They use 110V-type rear punch down connectors for in-wall install.
Component video provides Y-Pb-Pr, up to 1080i @ 164ft & up to 720p @ 246ft for HDTV.
Optional digital audio

NOTE: We recommend strongly that you use good CAT6 / 6 cables with any CAT6 / 6 converting products like this one. Most of our "no picture" support calls are due to poor quality and cheap or poorly made cables.

Since it is high definition video we only recommend CAT6/6 cables with specs like our CAT-5 /6 cables either bought from us or another high quality supplier. We also recommend, if possible, pre-made cables that are factory tested vs. field made cables due to the advanced testing methods used.
