The Zektor HDVI5.1 DVI switcher is a 5 input / 1 output DVI / HDMI video switcher with digital audio and is designed specifically for home theater. The HDVI5 is DVI–HDCP, HDMI-HDCP and HDMI-Audio compatible and supports HDTV resolutions to 1080p and PC resolutions to 1920x1200p.
This DVI Switcher can be used with:

In order to use this DVI splitter with an HDCP signal, you must have an HDCP monitor attached.
The HDVI5.1 features tunable input equalization that allows it to handle input cable lengths of up 65 feet and still deliver sparkle free 1080p images on its output.
Unlike most switches on the market, the HDVI5 is a true digital switch. Switching DVI and HDMI using an analog switch adds to skewing errors (which can cause sparkles), and can add noise to the signal (more sparkles). The HDVI5 recovers the TMDS signals and corrects for all skewing errors, and then re-creates the original signals.
The signals coming out of the HDVI5 are the same as those coming out of the back of the source, and not just a re-amplified version of the signals coming into the switch. All skewing errors and signal losses have been corrected and any out of spec signals are brought back into full HDMI 1.2a compliance.
An audio break away feature allows switching the digital audio independent of the video. Allows listening to CDs in the DVD player, while viewing video from a different source.
As with other Zektor A/V switches, the DVS5.1 has flexible IR control, buttons for manual operation, and a rear RS232 and IR jack for connection to the control system of your choice.
NOTE: The HDVI5.1 does not breakout the HDMI audio signals to a separate connector and all the connectors are DVI.
The Zektor HDVI5 is capable of video resolutions up to 1920 x 1080p or PC resolution up to 1600 x 1200. The Zektor HDVI5 will pass through HDMI if you use our DVI to HDMI adapter or HDMI to DVI cable.

The HDVI5 is a five input one output DVI switch / digital audio switch. When using DVI to HDMI conversion cables, the HDVI5 is fully DVI 1.0 and HDMI 1.2a compatible, including HDMI-Audio and all HDCP modes, and is expected to be fully HDMI 1.3 compatible.
The HDVI5 supports all DVI / HDMI single link modes and all HDTV resolutions up to 1080p (1920x1080p, 60Hz refresh), and all computer modes up to 1920x1200p 60Hz refresh. Supported resolutions include: PC Video - SVGA, XGA, SXGA, UXGA (1600x1200) and 1920x1200, or HDTV - 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 1080i and 1080p
The HDVI5 incorporates a user adjustable equalizer that allows sparkle free 1080p signals using input cables up to 65ft in length. Longer cables are usable with lower resolutions.
The HDVI5 switches both Coax and Optical digital audio signal. The HDVI5 supports 5 Coax and 5 Optical digital audio inputs. Optical (Toslink) and Coax (SPDIF) are both automatically converted. When either input is active, digital audio is available on both outputs.
To allow for the most efficient switching of the large variety of monitors and projectors on the market, all switching time delays are user adjustable. The switching times for video and audio switching can be set independently.
Full Digital Audio and Video breakaway is supported. Switch between different video sources while listening to a CD, or watch the game while switching back and forth between a CD and the game’s audio.
The HDVI5 comes with its own remote control. However if you need to have more than one HDVI5 in the same room, you can easily reprogram the HDVI5’s to use different remote controls.
Front panel buttons allow direct selection of desired input as well as with the included remote control.

Auto Dimming Display. The LED indicator lights can be set to Bright, Dim, or Auto mode. Auto mode will fade the LED's to half power after a channel is selected. User adjustable intensities.

This DVI switcher is HDCP Compliant. HDCP (high bandwidth digital content protection) is a standard encoded into the video signal to prevent it from being pirated. If a source device is HDCP coded and is connected to a DVI / HDMI display or projector without the proper HDCP decoding mechanism, the picture is relegated to “snow” or in some cases, very low (480P) resolutions of the images.
In order to see HDTV with HDCP compliance, both the source, the display and any device in between must be equipped with DVI / HDMI connections that can pass HDCP, such as this DVI switch.
