The 4X4 Component Video Matrix Switcher is a four-source, four-zone high-definition matrix switcher has component video and S/PDIF digital audio inputs for each source. Additionally, distribution output up to eight monitors is possible using the Cat5 outputs and a Single Gang HD Component/Cat5 Receiver Module, sold separately above. One Cat5 connection corresponds with one component video connection, so if both are being used in conjunction, they will be turned on or off together as a zone. All four zone outputs have component video output and S/PDIF audio output for economical local distribution up to 250', as well as a RJ45 output for transmission of the video and digital audio signal up to 1000' to the above receivers receiver located in the zone. Both coaxial component video output and CAT5 output are active simultaneously, making it possible to distribute four sources to eight outputs at the same time. The 4-Source, 4-Zone HD Video Matrix Switcher has four high-definition component video and coaxial digital audio inputs, and provides pristine video and audio distribution output of those signals to up to four HD monitors. The Cat. 5 outputs and HD Receiver are typically needed for installations where the connection from the video matrix switcher to the HD monitor is longer than 250 feet; as it will work up to 1000 feet away from the video matrix switcher; how they can also be used in lieu of a component connection. Using the included infrared (IR) remote control, you can alternate between sources you wish to distribute and toggle the output of each zone on and off. You also can expand the number of zones by daisy-chaining multiple units together; a maximum of 4 video matrix switchers can be linked. Additionally, you can program macros using the included RS-232 cable. Connections to and from the 4-Source, 4-Zone HD Video Matrix Switcher require the use of Component video cables, coaxial digital audio cables, and/or Cat. 5 cable, each sold separately. If a 4-Source, 4-Zone HD Video Matrix Switcher isn't enough, consider using the 8-Source, 8-Zone HD Video Matrix Switcher. The 4X4 Component Video Matrix Switcher is ideal for installations requiring local switching and distribution up to 250'. The Component Video Matrix Switcher High Definition Component Video Matrix Switcher, allows high definition 1080i video and digital audio to be sent up to 1000 feet over CAT5 cable with virtually no loss in signal quality. Cat5 Zone Output: This is an output connection to the Single Gang HD Receiver module. It utilizes standard Cat. 5 cable. Be sure to verify Cat. 5 wiring connection is correct before installation Source Loop-through Connection: The source inputs are buffered to provide an output at the same level as the input; i.e. Unity Gain (assuming a 75-ohm termination is on the output). Use these connections for HD88 expansion systems. The buffers are an active circuit. The HD88 must be powered on for an active connection. The jacks are color-coordinated to match the HD source component output color scheme. Source Inputs: These are Gold-plated RCA jacks providing a connection from the output of a source component to the video matrix switcher. The jacks are color-coordinated to match the HD source component output color scheme. IR Receiver: The rear panel IR receiver is a 3.5mm Stereo jack that is compatible with all Xantech IR receivers, such as the 291-10. Switch 4 must be in the OFF position to use this jack. IR Bus, Emitter Port: The 3.5mm Mono jack is an emitter port. The IR signal is connected to the IR Receiver. A Xantech emitter can be connected to this port. RS232 (Serial) Commands and Expansion: The RS232 Port is bi-directional. The communication parameters are set to 9600 Baud 8-N-1. The 4-Source, 4-Zone HD Video Matrix Switcher can be expanded into larger systems. By using any multiple (up to four) units, a larger High-Definition distribution system can be created for up to 16 Zones of Component Video and Digital Audio Distribution. The expanded units must have their own unique address. The included RS232 expansion cable allows the units to be daisy-chained via the RS232 control ports. This is done by connecting the SERIAL LINK port of the master to the XANTECH COM PORT of the other unit. The XANTECH COM PORT of the master is utilized to provide control of the entire system. Note that the Master is the main controlling unit. This unit is in charge of coordinating the communications between all expanded units. It is identified as the master by the unit address assigned to it. Why not buy this Four-Zone Component Video matrix video switcher today?
