A combination of up to sixteen monitors, projectors and HDTV's with VGA can be shared with 2 computers with these 2X2, 2X4, 2X8 and 2X16 VGA Matrix Switchers. Because it is a VGA Matrix Switch, it allows any input to be routed to any output; or the same input to be routed to all outputs, or any combination.

VGA Matrix Switch Features:

  • Comes in 4 configurations: 2X2, 2X4, 2X8 and 2X16
  • Provides 250MHz pixel frequency bandwidth for video clarity
  • Connects multiple video sources to multiple screens
  • Supports VGA / UXGA monitors up to 1920x1440 resolution
  • Switches VGA video directly.
  • Each output provides one video signal.
  • Each input can be independently connected to any or all outputs.
  • Extends the video signal up to 65 meter (213 feet).
  • Supports the DDC, DDC2, DDC2B. (For video out port 1 and 2)
  • Can be cascaded.
  • Compatible with standard VGA cards.
  • Each output can be set to source A, B or off.
  • Does not have a remote control
  • Does not have RS-232
This VGA Matrix Switch family allows you to connect 2 VGA video source devices to up to 16 VGA video displays. Each output is independently controlled meaning you can have two different images or sync two images together. This VGA Matrix Switch family provides front-panel controls and high bandwidth to maintain video integrity. They are ideal for presentations, classrooms, remote monitoring, data center, retail show rooms and training facilities. These VGA matrix switchers can drive standard VGA cables, thus eliminating the need for external interfaces and coax cable connections via BNC connectors.

Signals from a range of input sources can be distributed to various output devices, in essence creating a "matrix" pattern of interconnection possibilities. A single computer video output can be routed to one or more monitors. Each image will be as crisp and clear as if directly connected to the original source. Each video output is buffered from each input, insuring signal integrity throughout the system.

Q: What MHz do these units support?

A: Mhz is a measure of bandwidth. It determines the maximum resolution each switch can support. It breaks down to the following approximations.

150Mhz = up to 1600x1200
250Mhz = up to 1920x1440
400Mhz = up to 2048x1536

Question: Can I use this VGA Matrix Switch to get two or more different images on two or more different monitors to extend my desktop?

Answer: No, the images are generated by the graphics cards and if you are coming out of a single output, you're only getting one image for the VGA Matrix Switch to send to each monitor. Every monitor will show the same image.

Question: The picture was fine before using the VGA Matrix Switch, now it comes out distorted or blurry. How do I fix this?

Answer: Adding a VGA Matrix Switch will adjust the load on the signal and shift the phase. Press the Auto-Tune feature on your computer monitor or go to the auto-tune in the settings of your TV to correct the image automatically.
