The Deal with D-ILA
First and foremost, the HD-ILA is a true high-definition television (HDTV), featuring a built-in ATSC tuner for over-the-air (OTA) digital broadcasts (where available). Plus, you get a wide range of connection options, including HDMI inputs for an all-digital signal path from a range of HD sources. HD-ILA sets also use Digital Image Scaling Technology (D.I.S.T.) to upconvert the image from any source, drastically reducing any jagged lines from the original and producing 720p near-HD-quality images from non-HD sources.

Powering JVC's new breed of rear-projection sets is the D-ILA (Direct-drive Image Light Amplifier) microdisplay, which combines three LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) chips for outstanding resolution, brightness and color, with undetectable gaps between pixels and none of the "screen door" effect you can sometimes see with big-screen TVs.

Four-color sampling focuses each color without affecting the others, ensuring incredibly accurate tones, and JVC's own Motion Adaptive Dynamic Gamma Correction algorithm enhances only the trouble spots in your picture for smooth transitions between all colors.

Use Every Inch of Your Big Screen
JVC's advanced HD-range 75MHz Digital Super Detail (DSD) feature sharpens the edges on moving objects, and Natural Progressive 3D interpolation doubles the image information in every field sampled, for high contrast, bright color and pinpoint detail right to the edge of the picture.

The widescreen format is perfect for watching movies, and you can split the screen or, using the index feature, scan up to 12 separate channels simultaneously and select the one that looks most interesting.

Sounds Great, Too
JVC's own Advanced Hyper Surround Sound (AHS) creates a 3D surround sound experience with only two speakers, or hook up your home theatre system to the set with a variety of audio outputs. You even get a subwoofer output on the TV, or use the centre channel input to turn your TV's speakers into your home theatre system's centre channel.
