Similar to the 1980's battle between VHS and its smaller adversary Betamax, two technological giants are locked in a war over rival formats for viewing video at home: the high-definition DVD.
DVDs are going the way of the dinosaur. But in the race to replace, there's no clear winner. Will it be Blu-ray or HD DVD?
