The 4-2 HDMI matrix switches 4-HDMI sources w/stereo audio output to 4-HDMI displays. Because it is a matrix switcher, it allows any input to be routed to any output; or the same input to be routed to all outputs, or any combination of 16 combinations.

The 4-2 HDMI matrix allows four HDMI devices to be switched or split easily to two HDMI compatible monitors or projectors. The 4-2 HDMI matrix can also be placed at the end of a long HDMI cable to regenerate the HDMI signal.
NOTE: There is one digital & one Analog R/L Audio Output associated with HDMI input #1 which separates the HDMI audio from the HDMI audio data-stream to wire to an amp, BOSE system, headphones, etc. The optical audio format is based on the HDMI Output-A. if the TV EDID is stereo, the matrix can correct it to digital audio.

A: This 4-2 HDMI Matrix Switch features CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) allowing your HDTV's remote to manage up to ten devices that are connected via HDMI (such as Blu-ray Disc players or home theater receivers) with no special programming needed. For example, you can use your remote to turn on your TV, your player, and your receiver at the same time, and adjust the system volume with one button. All devices must support CEC, though.
Most major TV manufacturers now support CEC, and an HDTV with HDMI 1.3 will likely have the technology. Manufacturers call it by different names; LG Electronics, for instance, calls its implementation SimpleLink, whereas Toshiba calls its version CE-Link. Interoperability isn't mandatory, so some manufacturers limit control to their own products; Sony, for one, allows only Sony-to-Sony communication.
