Our solution includes to buy "3-separate cables" from us...one 6-foot DVI-D Male-to-Female Dual Link Digital Video Cable and two 3-foot Male-to-Male Dual Link DVI Cables. We can substitute one or two 3-foot DVI-to-HDMI cables if you say it in your order.
You plug the Male-to-Male cables into your sources and the Male-to-Female into your HDTV. You then lay the ends of all three cables at the side of your HDTV and manually plug the device cable into the HDTV cable when you want that source. This is far easier than going behind the HDTV to unplug and plug in 2-separate DVI/HDMI cables especially if the HDTV is large and heavy.
As with all of our cables we test every cable before it ships to make sure it passes a 37 MHz (720p / 1080i) HDTV signal with absolutely no degradation or we don't ship it. The video frequency response must be flat over the complete HDTV 1080i spectrum, and above, or we reject this cable set. For this pseudo-DVI switcher we test all of the cables in their joined 9-foot length to make sure there is no video impact in the total cable.
These precision-engineered cables are fully compliant with the DVI standard defined by DDWG (Digital Display Working Group). The DVD-D dual link configuration provides enough bandwidth for resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 and allows high speed digital transmission up to 9.9 Gbps. Your HDTV picture will be flawless using these cables.
