This DVI to HDMI cable is tested to 720p / 1080p or 37-Mhz, before it ships so you will get superb high-definition video. They are bi-directional so they can be used for HDMI to DVI, or DVI to HDMI, conversion.

This DVI to HDMI cable eliminates unnecessary signal conversions and they support high-definition video with a 5Gbps bandwidth and a bi-directional signal transfer.

This bidirectional DVI to HDMI cable is tested to 720p / 1080i, or 37-Mhz, before they ship and the test data is sent to you with your DVI to HDMI cable. It is also HDCP Copy Protection Compliant so they will pass an encrypted high-definition signal.

The DVI to HDMI Cable will not only support the fast high definition 37 MHz 1080i signal but of course will support other resolutions of 480i, 480p and 720p.

Tip: It's always a good practice when using long DVI to HDMI cables that are installed in walls to test your DVI to HDMI chain out first by laying the cables on the ground and plugging them into you source devices and HDTV before installing them. It's far easier to diagnose problems this way then when they are in the wall.

This DVI to HDMI cable is perfect for HDTV's that have either an HDMI or DVI input as they are bidirectional. Since DVI is a video only signal (no audio) a separate audio cable must be used. See our superb audio cables that are tested to 30 KHz before they ship.

This DVI to HDMI cable can be used with:

  1. High-definition satellite receivers
  2. HD DVD and Blu-ray DVD player compatible
  3. High-definition TiVo's
  4. PS3 compatible
  5. High-definition cable receivers
  6. Upconverting DVD players
  7. and other similar devices.
All of our cables have gold plated connectors which resist corrosion 100 times better then non-plated connectors. Many home theater applications require the cables be installed inside walls, fireplaces or other moisture rich areas and using our gold plated connectors assures you that you will not have any future corrosion issues that may result in a bad high definition picture.

This DVI to HDMI cable is HDCP Compliant. HDCP (high bandwidth digital content protection) is a standard encoded into the video signal to prevent it from being pirated. If a source device is HDCP coded and is connected to a DVI display or projector without the proper HDCP decoding mechanism, the picture is relegated to "snow" or in some cases, very low (480P) resolutions of the images.

In order to see HDTV with HDCP compliance, both the source, the display and any device in between must be equipped with DVI and HDMI connections that can enable HDCP decoding, such as this DVI to HDMI cable.

NOTE 1: This DVI to HDMI Cable family are tested to pass a 1080i signal however you might still require a booster depending upon your source device. Some source devices do not have enough voltage and current to drive a long cables. Please see our HDMI boosters if you feel your source device can't drive long DVI to HDMI Cables.

NOTE 2: Never buy a DVI to HDMI, DVI or HDMI cable if it doesn't have ferrite coils on both ends. Ferrite coils suppress external spurious signal frequencies up to 500 MHz so they don't get in your high definition signal. The ferrite coil filter provides common-mode filtering for our 10 foot and longer 720p / 1080i rated HDMI cables.

Your video is only as good as the cable that connects it. Why not buy this DVI to HDMI cable today?

Q: Will I loose any quality by converting from HDMI to DVI?
A: Absolutely not, the DVI specification is set to support a higher bandwidth for computer and high definition (HD) resolutions. The HDMI specification is set to support only HD resolutions (i.e. 480i, 480p, 720i, 720p, 1080i). You will not lose quality by using our 720p / 1080i tested bidirectional cables. All DVI to HDMI cables are single link.
